Here is the most current version of our Code of Conduct. Voted on By members of this forum as well as The State Prepper Network moderators
American Preppers Network Code of Conduct
You are a Prepper if you are:
1. a person who grows and /or stores food, water, and other supplies in preparation for disasters of all types, i.e., economic collapse, hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes etc.
2. a patriot who is against Fascism, Communism, National Socialism, Globalism, and Totalitarianism, and believes that these types of governments and economic systems lead to oppression and death of innocent people, thus the need to prepare for survival.
3. a member of a Prepper Network
As an American Prepper, your guidelines and laws follow the very Founders of the Nation. The Declaration of Independence and the Constitution lay a tremendous foundation for all of our actions and behaviors as Preppers. We do hold these truths to be self-evident. We do believe that we were all created equal. We do believe that if one does not support the Constitution we will fall in the cracks of all ism's. We therefore stand united with the American Prepper to help prepare others to become preppers in this great land.
We, the Members of all of the American Preppers Networks agree to always consider and adhere to the following rules prior to posting a blog, comment or discussion thread on any of the American Preppers Networks (including the Blogger State Networks, the American Preppers Network Members Only Forum and the American Preppers Network Public Forum):
1). We agree that Membership in the Network is voluntary and that Membership may
be revoked at any time by the Code of Conduct Committee. We agree that the
Code of Conduct Committee is not intended to be a policing organization; the
Code of Conduct Committee Members are mediators/arbitrators for disputes and
major violations of the Code of Conduct. We agree that the power of the Code of
Conduct Committee is limited by the acceptance of the Members.
2.) We agree that the Network is a Self-Governing organization that is inclusive of
others.
3). We agree that we will NOT tolerate posts or comments that deliberately attack an
individual based on skin color, religion, ethnicity or sexual preference. We agree
that we will NOT tolerate posts or comments that deliberately debase either
gender. We agree that we will NOT tolerate posts or comments that deliberately
attack persons with special needs or those with disabilities.
4). We agree to support the US Constitution and the laws and rules therein. We agree
that we will support this great land and will promote the values we hold dear
when we write posts, comments and discussion threads. We agree to refrain from
writing anything that suggests or implies anything that goes against the US
Constitution. We agree that we will not direct any hate or violence against
our land, government or leaders. We also agree not to support any totalitarian
forms of government such as Globalism, Fascism, National Socialism or
Communism.
5). We agree that there will be NO personal attacks on any other Members. We agree
that we will always respect, support and give "benefit of the doubt" (BOD) to all
other Members.
A). We agree that any disagreements among Members should, at first, be handled
civilly among the Members involved.
B). In the event that a disagreement cannot be handled civilly among the
Members involved, we agree that any, or all of the Members may email
the Code of Conduct Committee (COC@AmericanPreppersNetwork.com)
for arbitration, mediation and/or resolution.
6). We agree that all Members are responsible for the verification of their own material and are responsible to answer for their own material.
A). In the event of accidentally posting erroneous information, we agree that the
Member is responsible for posting a new post that identifies and/or
corrects the erroneous information.
B). In the event that a Member is questioned about a post, or is asked for further
clarification by another Member, we agree that the originating Member should
adhere to responding in a timely manner (3 days).
C). We agree that all original posts are to be left on the network and unaltered,
unless otherwise decided by the Code of Conduct Committee, at which point the original post will be either altered or removed.
7). We agree that the Members must be aware of copyright law when cross-posting
from another website or blog; such that
A). Permission must be granted by the original author; or
B). The information to be used must be considered Public Domain[1], or
C). The information to be used must be considered under the Fair Use Doctrine[2].
8 ). We agree that all Members must state clearly on their Network and/or post their
own policy for copy, use, and re-posting of information provided.
9). We agree that the Members MUST always be aware that the Network is family-
friendly and is intended to reach a wide and varied audience of all ages.
10). We agree that the purpose of the Network is to HELP and to REACH as many
people as we can; therefore the Network is not to be used as a personal bully-pit.
11). We agree that every Administrator of a Preppers Network MUST post a contact
email address on the main page of their Network; and that email address MUST
be checked regularly (every 2-3 days).
12). We agree that any offense to the above rules will bring a warning from the Code
of Conduct Committee. A second offense will bring a very stern warning. A third
offense of the above rules will result in a Code of Conduct Committee Members
vote on the retention of the offenders membership.
13). We agree that the Code of Conduct is a living document and may be amended by
the Code of Conduct Committee. We agree that all Members will be notified if
the Code of Conduct is amended.
14). We agree that the Code of Conduct Committee is made up of the following
Members: Gary (West Virginia Preppers Network), Trick James (Nebraska
Preppers Network), Bullseye (Kentucky Preppers Network), Humble Wife (New
Mexico Preppers Network) and Katie (Michigan Preppers Network). We agree
that the Committee may consult American Prepper at any time and American
Prepper may appoint back-up Members to the Committee as needed. We agree
that the Committee Membership may change over time.
